Privacy at NuHarbor Security
NuHarbor Security respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the privacy of our visitors and clients. We build Security and Privacy programs for the largest companies in North America and the US Federal Government, so of course we’re very concerned about all topics related to information security and data privacy.
Information we collect
We don’t collect much, on purpose. We can’t lose what we don’t have. We collect some non-personally identifiable information to measure the effectiveness of our websites which includes the originating source of your visit (e.g Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc), IP Address, and the length of time a page was visited; but nothing about this information reveals a visitors identity.
We do occasionally collect Personally Identifiable Information (PII) for the purposes of marketing and information a future client might share in order to obtain information about our services; additionally we might collect PII when a client sends us email, signs up for an event, or when a job candidate is applying for a job. Any information we collect is used only for the purpose which it was collected for and nothing else.
If you do directly disclose personally identifiable information or personally sensitive data through NuHarbor Security public message boards such as commenting on blog posts, this information may be collected and used by others.
We never sell, trade, or disclose PII to third parties or data aggregators without consent from the customer (except as required by subpoena, search warrant, or legal process).
Data Protection
NuHarbor Security’s websites use reasonable commercially available methods and security measures to protect against loss or alteration of information. If we transmit PII it is protected with encryption such as SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) or TLS (Transport Layer Security) Protocols.
Email Communications
NuHarbor occasionally may use email to communicate with our current or future customers about new products, services, events, and company updates. If you find yourself receiving unwanted email about commercial solicitations, you can unsubscribe using the instructions in the email or replying with “unsubscribe” in the subject line of the email. If you do choose to unsubscribe from our great industry content, some email messages may still come to you although not dealing with commercial solicitations.
Cookies
We do use client-side cookies on our website, but they are for the purposes of ensuring an excellent user experience such as remembering your login status when accessing products or services. No information stored in these cookies is linked to any PII.
These cookies cannot be used to install, execute or run applications; nor deliver malware to your computer.
If a user rejects the cookie, they may still use our sites; however, the user may not be able to access all areas of our sites.
Third Party Websites
We do occasionally post links to third party websites on our site. We do not share any information with those websites about you, nor do we endorse their privacy policies and practices. We highly recommend you check the privacy policy of the of those sites.
Children’s Privacy
Our websites are not intended for people under the age of 13. NuHarbor Security does not knowingly solicit or collect information from children or minors (under the age of 18).

By using our websites, you agree to this Privacy Policy. This policy appears in its completed form and supersedes any earlier version.
Notification of Changes
We reserve the right to make modifications to this privacy policy at any time. Changes to our policy can be viewed here and we recommend you review the policy frequently. If we decide to use information for a purpose that is different from that stated at the time it was collect we will notify those users via email of changes to our policy. Those users will the opportunity to opt-out.
